FES/English (and Kin!) Gathering
An afternoon of mulled wine, baked goods and scintillating discussions!
Sunday, November 23rd, 4:30pm
297 Wright Avenue, Toronto
(just east of Parkside, South of High Park Blvd)
All members of FES and English, picketers and non-picketers alike, are invited Sunday, November 23rd at 4:30 to the house of NW's Picket Captain Joanna for an afternoon of conversations about the strike. Come meet other people in your departments, chat about the latest developments in bargaining, and what has been happening on the picket lines. If you have not had a chance to find out before, are unclear about what the strike is about, are interested in picketing, want to share your stories, or just to join us for baked goods and mulled wine, please drop by. Looking forward to seeing you!
November 15th, 2008 Meeting
Super-last minute update
Saturday's GMM has been (re)scheduled to go to 6pm. This obviously conflicts with this meeting. As such, I'm cancelling the reservation at the Bedford. If people want to meet after the GMM, I guess it will have to happen in an ad-hoc way at the meeting.
This certainly sucks as far as being a last minute change and I apologize for that.
What & (to a lesser extent) Why
We're meeting on Saturday November 15th, 2008 at 4:30 pm (after the scheduled GMM) to discuss strike issues both large and small.
Talk more about this in the forum.
Specifically, any CUPE 3903 union member picketing at the North-west Gate. If you're picketing elsewhere and you want to show up, I can't imagine we would have an issue with that.
After the scheduled GMM. Reservations are made in the name "Gavan Watson" (I figured that was easier than explaining what "Northwest Gate" meant) for 4:30 pm.

- communicating with the public—the idea that we need to personalize the impact these issues are having on us (Gavan)
